Big Changes for Bear Patch

Some of you may have just discovered Bear Patch and some of you have been with us from the start- all the way back to April 1997.  We have so enjoyed our 21+ years of business and friendships. Debbie and Laurel have made the decision to begin the next phase of their lives and have decided to retire at the end of the year and close Bear Patch Quilting Co.  This has been a well thought out decision and not arrived at hastily nor without some tears.

We will be posting further information about our going-out-of-business sale soon. We will continue to get some new products and fabric in the store because we want you all to have the best of everything!  We have fabric orders placed last spring that are still due to arrive for fall, and we do not intend to cancel.  We will continue to stock thread and notions as long as we can!  It is comforting to know that you all have wonderful stashes of beautiful fabric that will keep you sewing for years to come!

Bear Patch will still have some fall classes. Our website calendar and class listing will be updated as new classes are ready.  We will not have a class sign up day as we usually do.  You can register online, by phone, or in the store. The offerings will be more limited than what we have had in the past, but we hope you will still have some fun learning experiences with us! There is a fabulous 3 day Bernina Serger Event scheduled for September 11-12-13, more information coming soon!  Please contact us at 651-429-1039 or if you have questions.

In the Bear Patch Sewing Center, the good news is that Jordan Frayne is planning to stay on and become the new Bernina dealer! Many of you may already know Jordan, as he has been a repair technician for us.  We have been very impressed by Jordan, and feel confident that he will learn the ropes of business management with experience and mentoring with Debbie.  We are happy that you and your Berninas will be well taken care of and we are hoping for a seamless transition. We feel so comfortable that Bernina sales, service and education will continue.

Thank you to all of our wonderful employees for your hard work and dedication.  All of our employees were already aware of this decision and most have made plans for their next step. We have a good group of people working together and we're hoping to keep sewing together for as long as we can!

And "thank you" to each of you for allowing the dream of Bear Patch Quilting to grow and thrive!  We have the best customers that can be imagined, and many have become friends with us and each other.  We will definitely miss our day-to-day interactions with you.

Again, if you have questions, please contact us at 651-429-1039 or
