Our professional Bernina educator, Nancy Bednar, is coming back to Bear Patch! We are so happy to have her, and some of you might remember her. She's a great teacher, and so inspiring, too. We are hosting Nancy for a 2-day workshop on Bernina serger techniques, a huge value to anyone just learning to use their serger, or someone with experience but ready to broaden their serging horizons.
There are different project and topics for each day. One day you will learn all the techniques used in the "In A Cinch" Backpack. You can make your own backpack (it's really cute!) or use the same techniques and information in other ways. You will learn how to adapt to sewing with a mix of fabrics and textures. The sample is displayed in the store.
On the other day, you will learn how to use your serger to make a quilt! Nancy's Log Cabin quilt sample is on display, and you can choose to do that or either the Yellow Brick Road (Atkinson Designs) or Jelly Jive (Pieced Tree) quilts. Patterns for those are not included in the class fee. The back side of your blocks have no exposed raw edges, keeping the ravel factor low!
Please join us for this unique learning opportunity! Call 651-429-1039 to sign up!
