Have you noticed the fact that you are hearing about English Paper Piecing (EPP) in lots of quilting forums? Whether it’s in your own quilt groups or online, you can’t miss the presence of this trend. We have had our own EPP group at Bear Patch for several years, and we would like to share the fun and teach you what it’s about!
English Paper Piecing is a traditional method of hand sewing fabric covered paper templates together to make a block. The most usual quilt that was made this way was the Grandmother's Flower Garden. Today, we have built on that little hexagon shape to make many new and beautiful designs.
In this class, you will receive a kit of several items that will help you get started. We will try both thread basting and glue basting methods and learn tips and techniques to help you stitch. We have a lot of examples to inspire you with the versatility of this dimension of quilting.
Class meets once. Also check our Paper Pizzazz group if you want a group with less teaching.
