articles out for future reference, if you like. Artistas: Why do I keep getting a message telling me my bobbin area is dirty even though it is clean? There could be a thread wrapped around the hook area you are not seeing. Remove the stitch plate and slowly turn the hand wheel while you are looking through the feed dog area at the hook race. Do you see any thread tails? If you do, take hold of the thread tail and gently pull on the thread. If it is not easily removed, turn the hand wheel slowly back and forth in a rocking motion as you gently pull on the thread tail. Is the bobbin correctly wound? Many try to wind the bobbin by inserting the thread tail through the hole in the bobbin before winding the bobbin. If you are winding bobbins this way, your thread sensor may be seeing the tail as a piece of lint. Refer to your owner’s manual for winding a bobbin correctly. Did you forget to close the door after inserting the bobbin? If the door isn’t closed, the sensor can’t see the thread in the bobbin case. Is the bobbin correctly placed within the bobbin case? See the instructions in the artista owner manual for directions to correctly insert the bobbin into the bobbin case. The bobbin sensor is not correctly positioned. A technician can correctly position the sensor for you. If you have already cleaned the lint from the bobbin area, don’t forget to clean the sensor area as well. Auroras: Is there a way to scroll through the stitches on the aurora? Press the “<” or “>” buttons to the right and left of the “A” button to scroll forward or backward through the stitches on the machine. To view the stitches numerically, hold down the “#” button until you hear it beep. Happy Sewing, | |
